Is there any entry fee?

No, the awards are free to enter.

Is there a limit to the number of entries that can be submitted?

There is no limit to the number of entries that can be submitted for individuals or teams but only one per company for the various contact centre of the year awards.

What period does the supporting evidence need to come from?

The supporting evidence need to be from the period November 2016 to November 2017.

What documentation is included in the word count?

Your general entry information must be limited to the word count of 2000 words. Testimonials, pull quotes, diagrams, graphs and charts can be sent as part of your supporting documentation, so are not part of this word count.

What is the deadline for applications?

Your completed submission must have arrived by 1st December 2017.

Is it possible to submit a call recording without breaking any data protection laws?

All call recordings must be submitted in line with data protection laws. This may involve starting the call recording once personal details have been collected for example or removing any personal details from the WAV file.

Can public sector contact centres enter?

The awards are open to contact centres from the private, voluntary and public sectors.

What geographical area do the awards cover?

Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton-on-Tees and Sunderland

We might want to submit graphs or charts to support our entries but this might be a data protection issue. What can we do?

If data protection is a concern, one suggestion might be to use a graph or figure to visually demonstrate the difference between one individual/team/centre and their peers without providing business-sensitive information on the X or Y axis that will tell the judges exactly who those peers are or what volumes/values are attached to that individual’s/team’s/centre’s performance/quality. The judges are happy to sign non-disclosure agreements if required.

When will we find out if we have been shortlisted?

Shortlisting for the three main awards (North East Contact Centre of the Year, Over 250 seats, between 50 and 250 seats, and under 50 seats) will take place week commencing 4th December 2017. Site visits may be arranged if required for these categories.

All other categories will find out if they have been shortlisted one week before the event.
