Richard Abdy

Richard has nearly 20 years’ leadership and planning experience in finance, telecoms and public sector customer contact organisations.  He is a previous winner at the North East contact Centre awards, winning Dream Team in 2010 and the following year Contact Centre of the Year whilst at the NHS Business Services Authority. 

Richard is Head of Membership at The Forum who champion best practice and professional development in customer contact.  Previously at the North East Ambulance Service where he was presented with a Forum Hero award in 2015 for commitment to best practice in the industry, he was also a Forum Innovation Award finalist in 2010 with the NHS Business Services Authority and winner in 2003 at T-Mobile.  Richard is extremely passionate about the contact centre industry and is a huge believer and advocate of the talent that exists here in the North East.
